Be mindful of signs of risk.  These will be personal to you but may include: 

  • Thinking about ending your life or, ways that you would harm yourself. 
  • Taking a dangerous combination of medications, using excessive amounts of drugs, and/or alcohol.
  • Isolating yourself, not talking with other people, loss of interest in things. 
  • Not sleeping, feeling anxious and/or depressed 
  • Strong feelings of anger or sadness that are hard to control or a total absence/numbness of feelings
