Choose Your Own Skydive Date
Life is busy – so we’ve kept it flexible for you.
When you sign up to skydive for Lighthouse, you can:
- Choose a date that suits you – weekdays or weekends (subject to availability with the Skydive Ireland centre) Â
- Plan ahead – pick a date that gives you time to fundraise and build excitement Â
- Match it to a special occasion – a birthday, anniversary, in memory of a loved one, or simply “just because”
This is your challenge, your day, and your chance to do something truly meaningful.
Come Skydive With Friends, Family & Work Colleagues
Turn it into an unforgettable group challenge:
- Get a group of friends together Â
- Wear matching t‑shirts or costumes Â
- Support each other through the nerves and celebrate together after landing Â
It’s bonding, it’s brave, and it’s brilliant fun.
Skydive with Family
Make memories that will last forever:
- Take on the jump with siblings, parents, or grown‑up children Â
- Dedicate your skydive to someone close to your heart Â
- Involve the whole family in fundraising and cheering you on
It’s a powerful way to stand together for mental health.
- Challenge yourself to step outside your comfort zone Â
- Mark a personal milestone in your life Â
- Show others that one person can make a big impact
You’ll still be part of a wider team of Lighthouse supporters on the day – and you’ll never truly be on your own.
An Amazing Experience With a Big Impact
A charity skydive is more than just a thrill. It’s:
- An adrenaline rush – freefall from up to 10,000–15,000 feet (depending on the jump provider) Â
- A stunning view of Northern Ireland – experience the landscape like never before Â
- A personal challenge – face your fears and discover what you’re capable of Â
- A powerful statement for mental health – show that you stand with those who are struggling
At the same time, the money you raise helps Lighthouse to:
- Provide emotional and practical support to those affected by suicide Â
- Offer counselling and crisis intervention Â
- Deliver awareness, education and prevention programmes in local communities
Your jump could help save a life.
 How Your Fundraising Helps
Every penny raised through your skydive can help Lighthouse:
- Help people in crisis Â
- Provide counselling sessions to individuals and families in Northern Ireland Â
- Run support groups for those bereaved by suicide Â
- Deliver vital mental health and suicide awareness training workshops
By asking friends, family, colleagues and your community to sponsor you, you’re turning an amazing day out into real, practical support for people who need it most.
What to Expect on the Day
On the day of your skydive, you’ll :
1. Arrive at the airfield and check in with your charity skydive team. Â
2. Meet your instructors and receive a full safety briefing. Â
3. Get kitted out in a jumpsuit and harness. Â
4. Take off in the plane – the nerves and excitement really begin here! Â
5. Jump in tandem with a fully qualified instructor. Â
6. Freefall at incredible speed before the parachute opens. Â
7. Glide back to earth, enjoying the views and soaking up the moment. Â
8. Celebrate your achievement with photos, videos hugs and plenty of smiles.
Throughout it all, you’ll be supported, guided and cheered on – by the skydive team, by Lighthouse, and by your supporters.
Is a Charity Skydive Right for Me?
A skydive might be perfect for you if:
- You want to do something big and brave for charity Â
- You’re passionate about mental health and suicide prevention Â
- You’re looking for a new challenge or a fresh start Â

Most charity skydives are tandem jumps, meaning:

- They handle the technical side – from exit to landing Â
- You just need to listen, follow instructions and enjoy the experience
There will usually be some weight and health guidelines set by the skydive provider, but these are there to keep everyone safe.
