Based at Grange House, Belfast, Survitec are pioneers of Survival Technology. Their wearable survival equipment, fire solutions and survival craft technology keep people safe when their life depends on it. Survitec’s purpose is that we “exist to protect lives” which is also very clearly aligned to the vision and mission of Lighthouse.
Margaret McKee, Director of Finance Shared Services says: “We are passionate about the work that Lighthouse does to prevent suicide and support families bereaved due to suicide in Northern Ireland. Some of our employees were already aware of the great work that Lighthouse does in the community whilst others became more aware following the heartbreaking loss of a colleague in 2024.
At Survitec, we care for our people in both their physical and mental wellbeing. We have various initiatives to promote wellbeing including fundraising events, getting people together for breakfast, walks etc which very closely aligned to Lighthouse’s vision to have an emotionally resilient community with positive mental health and fewer people at risk of suicide.”
Executive Director at the charity, Paul Finnegan says: “We are delighted for the opportunity to partner with Survitec and look forward to working with their team to create awareness of mental health wellbeing and the importance of looking out for each other, attending fundraising events and raising much needed funds to enable the charity to be there for everyone who needs our support.”
