Thankyou

A heartfelt thank you to Survitec  for your incredible support throughout our charity partnership.

Over the past year, your fun workplace activities and commitment have gone far beyond fundraising – you’ve built connections, reduced mental health stigma and boosted community spirit in such a positive and energetic way. By supporting Lighthouse, you’ve helped individuals and families facing some of their darkest days.

Based at Grange House, Belfast, Survitec are pioneers of Survival Technology. Their wearable survival equipment, fire solutions and survival craft technology keep people safe when their life depends on it. Survitec’s purpose is that they “exist to protect lives”, which is clearly aligned to the vision and mission of Lighthouse.

Reflecting on the partnership, Margaret McKee, Director of Finance Shared Services at Survitec, said:

"We are passionate about the work that Lighthouse does to prevent suicide and support families bereaved due to suicide in Northern Ireland.

Some of our employees were already aware of the great work that Lighthouse does in the community, whilst others became more aware following the heartbreaking loss of a colleague in 2024.

At Survitec, we care for our people in both their physical and mental wellbeing. We have various initiatives to promote wellbeing including fundraising events, getting people together for breakfast, walks etc., which very closely aligned to Lighthouse’s vision to have an emotionally resilient community with positive mental health and fewer people at risk of suicide.”

Looking back on the year, Paul Finnegan, Executive Director at Lighthouse, added:

“We were delighted to have the opportunity to partner with Survitec and to work with their team to create awareness of mental health and the importance of looking out for each other. The funds raised enable the charity to be there for everyone who needs our support, and we are deeply grateful to the Survitec team for their energy, compassion and commitment.”

Thank you, Survitec, for standing with us and helping to protect lives in our community.
