We’re delighted to be supporting Balcas with the mental wellbeing of their workforce.

To coincide with World Mental Health Day, Executive Director, Paul Finnegan, Services Coordinator, Rachael McLoughlin and Fundraising Lead, Claire Hogarth visited Balcas to meet their mental health first aiders to launch a bespoke counselling service for its 370+ valued employees and outline our range of services and how we can best compliment their work.

Speaking about the initiative, Paul said: ‘At Lighthouse, we have been contracted to provide confidential services to ensure the emotional wellbeing of the Balcas staff. Trained professionals from the charity will be on hand to help staff identify well-being and mental health issues and provide support to solve them via a direct telephone number and/or email facility.

‘Balcas has invested in the health and safety of our people over many years and they recognize their emotional health is as important.

‘As a charity, we are so impressed with Balcas’ vision of being watchful of, and then improving on, the collective mental health of their workplace, so that everyone feels supported and included, particularly in the more challenging time and look forward to working together with the organisation.’
